The outdoor area features a BBQ, dining space, a plunge pool, and a vegetable garden.
Self-Catered Dining
The chalet has a kitchenette with a coffee machine, an outdoor kitchen, and BBQ facilities. A vegetable garden supplies fresh herbs and vegetables. The host stocks yogurt in the fridge and provides a detailed guide with restaurant recommendations. Guests can eat at the outdoor dining area or use the indoor seating.
Leisure and Relaxation
The wood-fired hot tub is pre-heated before arrival, with starter wood set up. The garden and surrounding forest create a quiet setting for reading or walks. The host provides a Spotify playlist for background music. Free WiFi is available, and a mosquito light helps with insects.
Location and Parking
The Urban Cabin is 33 km from Plettenberg Bay Airport. It sits in a Knysna residential area but feels secluded in a forest. Free private parking is on-site. Shops and restaurants are a short drive away, including the Knysna Waterfront.
Host Services
Host Liesl includes personal touches: starter wood for the hot tub, chocolates on pillows, hot water bottles, and a welcome guide with local tips. The cabin offers free WiFi, free parking, and is non-smoking throughout. A work desk is available for guests who need it.
“Stepping into this cabin felt like discovering a private forest sanctuary, immediately striking a balance between luxurious comfort and serene seclusion. The meticulous attention to detail, from pre-heated hot tub to curated playlists, truly elevates the stay, making it a remarkable escape that feels both deeply considered and effortlessly peaceful. It's a place where you can genuinely reset, finding yourself easily connected to Knysna's conveniences while feeling worlds away.”
